One Response to “US Opens Criminal Probe of Oil Spill, Supreme Court Backs Off Strict Enforcement of Miranda Rights, Telcos Find Dem Dupes in Congress to Kill Net Neutrality, and more…”

  1. Billy Glover says:

If someone doesn’t like GetEqual or any other organization, then start your own group. BUT, if one group is harming/undercutting the work of the whole community/movement, by trying to impose their beliefs on what others have been doing, successfully, for years, that is not good for the cause and they need to be exposed. And it is obscene and stupid to say we can’t get “leaders” without payhing them enormous salaries when that money is needed for the purpose.

It needs to be said again that this movement was started by unpaid people, who had ideas and beliefs, and even before Stonewall had been extremely successful, making progress each year since 1950. So if we could do that in those bad times without large salaries, why is it necessary to pay over $100,000 today to get people to work for their cause?

But one other point-volunteers alone will not get the job done-you need full time staff, but we could get more people and pay lower salaries.
