A man was arrested for putting up gay rights posters in Malawi. In Malawi homosexuality is illegal and punishable by imprisonment, hard labor and fine. Read more

McGill University researchers in Montreal has now come to the conclusion that self-identity is the crucial risk-factor, rather than actual sexual behaviours. Their results were published in February in the Journal of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.It has long been known that youth that self-identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender have a high risk of mental illness and suicidal thoughts. Read more
