The link to the old CBS show The Homosexuals, as one comment points out, shows how wrong the “professions” were about homosexuality when our movement started in 1950, after spurts like Henry Gerber in Chicago a few years earlier. We had to “educate” the religious, psychological, legal professions, who should have been more informed than we were. Don Slater had to almost educate attorneys on how to win cases. He sometimes had to spend more time in the law library than in our office. But then we had Dr. evelyn Hooker and the Kinsey Report and facts eventually are making the “professions” have to do their research and stop quoting their religious advisers, or is it advisors.
I’ve been looking all around for that stuff. Good thing my partner and i discovered this on Yahoo.
